FOR a second week running the Cornish Pirates are on the road and anticipating another great Greene King IPA Championship contest, away to London Scottish.

The match is being played on Saturday at the Richmond Athletic Ground where the kick-off is at 3pm.

This is an eighth versus seventh clash in the league, with the Pirates aware that London Scottish have won their last four games - two in the Cup and two in the Championship - including their derby match league fixture win 19-17 away to London Welsh last Saturday.

As for the Pirates, who beat London Scottish 21-17 at the Mennaye Field in October, they will be looking to bounce back from Sunday’s narrow 33-26 defeat at Yorkshire Carnegie.

The Pirates make four changes to their starting XV, including returns in the backs for centre Tom Hendrickson and scrum-half Alex Day. Tom Channon is selected at hooker and Will Graulich replaces the injured Laurie McGlone in the second-row.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s encounter, Cornish Pirates’ Director of Rugby Ian Davies has said: "We had a bit of a blip last weekend, we hope, and are looking forward to another great contest against London Scottish, who have picked up since Sean Lineen has arrived to take some of the burden off Pete and Tim".

Ian added: "Getting back at 4am on Monday has meant a bit of a disjointed week, however this squad will do as they always do, roll their sleeves up and just crack on!"
