TRURO-BORN speedway superstar Chris Harris is looking ahead to the Adrian Flux British FIM Grand Prix in Cardiff after storming to third place at the Czech GP in Prague this weekend.

Harris raced into the Marketa Stadium podium spot behind elated Australian ace, Jason Doyle, and current World Championship leader, Greg Hancock.

The GP was the Czech capital’s 20th SGP event and is the first time Harris has raced in a SGP final since he finished fourth at the Danish SGP in Copenhagen on June 9, 2012.

Chris, who famously won the FIM British Speedway Grand Prix in Cardiff in 2007, admits he’s looking forward to riding at the Principality Stadium in the Welsh capital on Saturday, July 9.

“I’m excited due to this event being my home Grand Prix. It was a fantastic feeling to win the British GP in my first year in the series – and even more so as that event is ranked as one of the best Grand Prix’s in history.

“I think Maciej Janowski is the one to watch going into Cardiff.”

This will be the sixteenth consecutive year that the Adrian Flux British FIM Speedway Grand Prix has taken place in Cardiff following its premier on 9 June 2001.

This year promises all the fast-paced action that comes with one of motorsport’s most anticipated events, plus the biggest ever fanzone and first class pre-race entertainment including DJ Huw Stephens from BBC Radio 1.

Summing up his season so far in three words, Chris says: “Frustrating. Bad. Good.”
