MULLION juniors produced their finest performance of the year to reach the Bolitho finals with a fantastic 5-1 win at West Cornwall.
A performance made even better considering the same fixture last year was lost 6-0. Mullion's win means they top the group ahead of West Cornwall, Falmouth and Killiow.
Rhys Kerton got the team off to a winning start defeating 2 handicapper Bradley Barnes 2&1.
At number 2 Freddie Norris came from 2 down with 5 to play to win on the 18th whilst at number 3 Conner Davidson returned to top form winning 2&1 after being 1 under gross for the front nine.
Skipper Dan Ferrie came up against an inform player and suffered Mullion's only defeat.
Jim Lee maintained his 100% away record in Bolitho matches securing a 5&4 win and West Cornwall greenkeeper Gavin Hearne used his local knowledge to record a fine 2&1 win in match number 6.
A superb all round team performance which sees Mullion go through to the finals day at Carlyon Bay GC on Sunday, August 21.
