A CROWD funding platform has been launched by Cornwall Sports Partnership to help five community projects.
Created by Podium Partners, the main difference from other fund-raising schemes is that they can claim Gift Aid on all donations they receive.
Natasha Howard, funding lead at Cornwall Sports Partnership, said: "By signposting groups to the available funding opportunities it will enable them to grow what they offer and ultimately increase the number of people that can get active in Cornwall."
The projects are:
Special Olympics Cornwall - £3,000 to take 38 athletes and 16 volunteers to the National Summer Games in Sheffield
Trelissick Parkrun - £3,000 to establish a new parkrun at Trelissick Gardens, Feock
Cornwall Bowls Alliance - £2,000 to buy equipment to help children and young people try bowls
West Coast Academy - £9,000 to purchase Parkout equipment and training so they have more qualified coaches
St Breward Football Club - £5,000 to buy a new mower and storage container
