WHILE many players can look forward to putting their feet up for a few days, the Cornish Pirates have one more assignment before Christmas.

They return to IPA Greene King Championship action with a visit to Ealing Trailfinders on Saturday – Christmas Eve. The kick-off at Vallis Way is at 2pm.

The Trailfinders are presently third in the league table and the Pirates eighth, so yet another tough game is expected, as was the case when the teams drew 31-all at the Mennaye Field in September.

Former ‘Pirate’ Aaron Penberthy has impressed for the Ealing club since joining them this season, as has former Redruth and London Scottish back-rower Mark Bright.

Also, during this week, it has been confirmed that the west London club has been further strengthened with signing of experienced forwards Kieran Murphy and Barney Maddison from nearby London Welsh.
