A HELSTON Ladies footballer has received a one-match ban and £25 fine from the Cornwall FA after abusive comments made on her Twitter account.
Keri-Ann Moxom posted the remark after her side's 1-0 defeat to St Agnes Ladies in their top of the table clash in the Cornwall Women's League in October.
She said: "The most frustrating thing about today was f**king Captain Birdseye running the line and calling offside for everything....the p***k".
A complaint was raised about her comment, which triggered an investigation from the county football's governing body. She was found guilty of an improper conduct charge at a hearing on December 15.

Nathaniel McIntosh (Penryn Athletic) - Improper conduct vs Porthleven Reserves on October 8.

£50 fine
Other teams have been fined as part of the Respect Sanction. This states that if a team receives a combination of10 or more red or yellow cards for dissent, they will receive a £75 fine in Step 6 and 7 football (Pensinsula League), or a £50 fine for Trelawny League and below.
