FRIDAY is here again and it's time for the Packet Predictor to put on his forecasting hat and take a punt on the weekend's big local games.

Football - SWPL Premier

Torpoint Ath v Falmouth Town - If Town want to finish in the top 10 this season, these are the sort of matches they need to win. Torpoint are four points behind them with two games in hand, so Falmouth have the chance to put some daylight between them. They will also want a positive result to take into their Senior Cup quarter-final at The Mill in two week's time. A stalemate would be the obvious prediction, but Town have only drawn one of their 25 league games this season, so I've ditched that idea.

Torpoint Ath 1, Falmouth Town 3

Saltash Utd v Helston Athletic - There's no love lost between these two clubs, particularly after the Blues dented their title hopes with a 1-0 win during the Christmas holidays. The Catt is back for Helston, but he may not be enough to save them at Kimberley Stadium.

Saltash Utd 2, Helston Ath 0

SWPL Division 1 West

Penryn v Elburton Villa - An intriguing one this, as third plays second. Paul Murray's men have played several more than the teams around them, however, so a defeat here could make a top four finish a very tall order. Top goalscorer Luke Brabyn is away skiing too, so it may be a difficult day the home side.

Penryn Ath 1, Elburton Villa 2

Porthleven v Plymouth Marjons - Apart from a notable 1-0 win at neighbouring Elburton back in October, the student team's away form is woeful. Port will be champing at the bit having had to wait two weeks to put right their Senior Cup shocker at Holmans. Looking like a home banker to me.

Porthleven 5, Plymouth Marjons 1

St Dennis v Wendron United - Wendron are paying the price for missed chances at the moment. A 5-1 home reverse to Millbrook on Saturday may have been 3-3 on another day. St Dennis haven't won in five, but they have drawn their last three and are a tough proposition at Boscawen Park.

St Dennis 3, Wendron Utd 1

Elsewhere in the SWPL tomorrow, the game of the day is at second-placed Tavistock, who entertain fourth-placed St Austell, who last lost in the league on November 19. They also beat Tavvy 3-1 at Poltair Park over Christmas, but I feel a draw brewing here.

Tavistock 2, St Austell 2
