Porthleven 4, Dobwalls 1

A HAT-TRICK from Kyle Marks sealed a superb display from Kev Richards' young charges to avenge last month's defeat in SWPL Division 1 West on Saturday.

Port were in splendid passing form and might have scored a hatful had they had more luck in front of goal.

Jack Webber looked to have scored before he was flagged for offside by the Dobwalls linesman, but five minutes later Marks established the lead when he weaved his way into the box and hammered a shot through the keeper's legs.

The second goal was a brilliant one - Luke Hunter produced a fine through ball for Adam Paterson, who smashed the bouncing ball in from 30 yards leaving the keeper a helpless spectator.

Sam Stockdale pulled a goal back for Dobwalls before the break when he diverted a long range effort past Ethan Fearn, but the big striker then succumbed to some Marks trickery, conceding a penalty which the Port winger stepped up to convert.

The Fishermen threatened to run riot in the second period, with chance after chance arriving but only one more added to the tally.

Dan Hindmarch was brought down in the penalty area and Marks duly completed his hat-trick from the resulting spot kick.

Paterson and Rob Carey both had good opportunities to extend the lead, but Port's tenth win of the season moved them into seventh spot in the table.
