STITHIANS Lake will host its annual spring celebration of all things windsurfing on the weekend of April 8 and 9.

The Stithians Lake Spring Windsurf Bash is a fantastic opportunity to blow out the cobwebs, get social and kick start your windsurfing for the 2017 season.

Matt Loughlin, centre manager at Stithians said: "It is going to be a great chance for people, from beginners to advanced, to learn new skills and sharpen existing ones.

"There will be something for everyone. We really want to see as many beginners as possible this year, so if you have ever fancied giving windsurfing a try this weekend is for you. We want to show people how this fantastic sport can boost both fitness and confidence and is a really great stress buster!"

Experienced windsurf instructors and coaches will be covering everything from sailing skills, beach starts and water starts to harnessing, footstraps and a carving skills clinic.

The event costs just £95 for the weekend which includes kit (if you don't have your own), video coaching and free camping on the Friday and Saturday night and to top it all off a meal in the café on the Saturday evening.

There is a 10 per cent discount for South West Lakes members, students and under 18’s.
