Falmouth United under-16s have won the Kernow League Championship Cup at their finals day which was played at Helston’s Kellaway Park.

Their opponents on the day were Leedstown Leopards. It was a hard fought game but United eventually won 4 -2 with Kian Thomas (3) and Toby Webb getting the goals. This capped a superb season for the team as they also crowned League Champions on the day.

Many of the boys have already started with local adult clubs, Kian Thomas has even made his debut with Falmouth Town’s first team.

For the team manager Andy Winnan it was the last occasion that he took charge of his boys, he had been their manager for 11 years, since the lads were four orfive5 years old and many of today’s team remain from those very early days.

Andy has also held the position of Welfare Officer within the club for the last 6 years.

The club would like to thank Andy for all of his hard work and dedication and wish him well in him in whatever he decides to do in all of his spare time.
