Scott Pedlar staged a very successful Captain's Day at Falmouth Golf Club on Saturday.
Despite the testing, blustery conditions 104 competitors took part.
The undoubted star on the day was Charlie Scorse, who carded a brilliant 1 under par gross 71 including birdies at the 2nd, 9th, 11th and 12th holes on his way to an untouchable total of 42 stableford points.
Runner up was Steve Thomas with a good haul of 39 points including a birdie at the 12th and third was Robert Eccleston who also played well for his 38 points including birdies at the 10th. and 12th.
The ladies' competition was deservedly won by Jo Munday with 31 pts. while the juniors section was won with a fine 37 pts by Archie Fox.
During the presentation captain Scott Pedlar, who put on a terrific prize table, paid special thanks to all who sponsored the holes and everybody who kindly donated towards his charity Cornwall Cancer Care for which another £1,500 was raised.
