LIAM Dent has hit the ground running for Penryn Athletic Reserves after hitting five goals in a 6-0 thrashing of St Day in the Trelawny League premier division. Matt McIlroy had the other goal.

Charles Young snapped up both goals as Helston Athletic III picked up their first win of the season with a 2-0 success against St Agnes Reserves, but Stithians crashed to a heavy 8-2 defeat away to leaders Penwith Exiles where they scored through Treve Bale and Jason Weeks.

Decimated through injuries and unavailability Mawnan will still be disappointed not to take something from their game with Illogan RBL after going down 3-0.

In an excellently contested match, Mawnan paid the penalty for defensive howlers that saw Tom Butt (2) and Simon Ellis take full advantage to score.

David Welfare hit a hat-trick for Threemilestone in their 4-0 win away to Constantine with Henry Hutchings scoring the other goal.

RNAS Culdrose crashed to an 8-0 defeat away to Perranporth Reserves and Mawnan Reserves were beaten by the same scoreline after trailing 1-0 at half-time away to Newlyn Lions.

Rosudgeon were 9-0 winners away to Newlyn Non-Athletico whilst Robin Watson hit a brace in Wendron United III’s 2-1 win at St Keverne.

In division two Falmouth Town III raced to a 7-2 win against St Day III after notching goals through Ben Richardson (3), Sam Duckham, David Webb, Paul Webb and Dom Sikorski.

Zach Maunder found the back of the net for Falmouth DC, but they went down 5-1 at Four Lanes but elsewhere Frogpool/Cusgarne maintained their perfect record with a 8-0 trouncing of St Ives Mariners. David Leach (3), Aaron Coveny, Adam Coveney, Harry McMellon, and two own goals were the scorers.

Mullion Reserves went one better with a 9-0 demolition of Redruth United Reserves after netting through Ben Turner (4), Jordan Hoskin (3), Ross Atkinson and Alex Cook.

Biggest win of the day came in Perranwell Reserves 13-0 thumping of Storm in division three. Matthew Rose (6), Michael Rollason (2), James Wilsher (2), Kyle Chapman, Matthew Size and Rob Tann snapped up the goals.

Frogpool/Cusgarne Reserves went down 6-0 at home to Praze and Wendron United IV went down 12-3 to Penzance Reserves.

Falmouth United lost 4-2 at home to Chacewater in division four after Adam Box and Rhys Stumbles scored their goals.

Stithians Reserves suffered a 10-0 defeat away to Hayle III and Constantine Reserves were beaten 2-1 at Threemilestone Reserves after scoring through Anthony Brown.
