The Amber Cup was presented to Killiow Golf Club by former member, Anita Bowden, and is awarded annually following an individual Stableford competition open to senior ladies only.
This year's winner was Trish Garland who scored 36 points. Runner up was Nina Hann, lady captain, with 33 points, and third was Annie Boggia with 32 points.
Killiow will be represented by Emma Burrows and Pat Crowson in the next round of the NSPCC Ladies' Golf Challenge 2008. Winning the qualifying event with a score of 45 points, the pair will play in the regional final at Tiverton, Devon, in August. Reserves will be Mel Byrne and Sue Dickinson who were second with 41 points.
