JUST ten more points from seven games following their 1-0 win over Perranwell will mathematically ensure St Day are crowned the Kernow Kitchen St Piran League premier division champions, writes Leon Prynn. 

The victory at Tregye was hard earned with the winner from Tyler Buckley not coming until the eighth minute of added on time which was a little harsh on Perran who did well to contain the free-scoring Saints.

Illogan RBL probably blew their lingering hopes when they went down 2-0 to St Just at Lafrowda Park. Josh Atwood and Ashley Ellis snapped up the goals.

There was a tight encounter at Underlane where Hayle nicked all three points against Wendron Reserves thanks to a goal from Troy Williams.

Mawnan maintained the pressure at the top of division one with a 10-0 demolition of struggling St Agnes. Luke Wort hit a first half hat-trick and set the ball rolling in the second period with a fourth. The other goals came from a Ben Harris hat-trick, Ollie Growcott-Smith, Harry Rogers and a classic 20-yarder from Steve Winnan.

West Cornwall, who won 4-2, were made to fight for the points away to St Day Reserves after scoring through Robertas Sumnauskas (2), Lee Chambers and Justin Barnard. Saints replied through Mawgan Langdon-Heller and Kiall Maugham.

Camborne SoM chalked up another impressive victory when they defeated Hayle Reserves 3-0. Ed Swain, Kristoff Muller and Alpha Briggs had the goals.

Praze-an-Beeble safely negotiated a banana skin at Troon where they ran out 4-1 winners and Porthleven Reserves and Helston Athletic Development I drew 0-0 at Gala Park.

Constantine pulled off a 5-3 win against Stithians in division two and Perranwell Reserves ran out 4-2 winners against St Buryan with goals from Matt Rose (2), Jack Evans and Lewis Dawes.

A healthier goal difference is keeping Holman SC at the top of the division three after beating St Erme 5-1 with a hat-trick from Liam Phillips and goals from Scott Goodchild and Matt Knurek. Saints replied through Brandon MacDonnell.

Probus romped to a 6-0 win at Goonhavern Athletic with Jack Truscott (3), Sam Bullen, Joe Emmett and James Holmes scoring the goals. Dropship walloped St Keverne 11-0 with Tyler Prescott scoring four and Brodie Kemp hitting a hat-trick. Harry Hounsome, Conner Hurrell and Paul Robertson had the other goals.

A goal six minutes from time by Tristan Hawkings earned Lizard Argyle a narrow 1-0 away to Falmouth DC and Wendron United IV were 3-0 winners against Carharrack after scoring goals through Lee Pawley (2) and Lewis Warrell.
