Falmouth TOWN RES 1 TROON 0 Falmouth Town Reserves moved into within a point of second placed Helston following this narrow win over Troon at Bickland Park.

New signing Michael Newbury was the star performer as he organised the defence well at the back before netting the winner with 20 minutes to go.

The result is the first loss for Troon since the end of October.

The winning goal came from a Luke Wort corner which was conrtolled by Newbury on his chest before being volleyed home.

Falmouth Town will be at home to St Agnes this Saturday as they look to keep the pressure on the league leaders.
