Full time: Bideford pull off a shock result. Most coming through the gates tonight wanted to get a glimpse of Barry Hayles in action, but he had a very quiet game for City. Seemed to lack match sharpness and was beaten in the air by Bideford's man-of-the-match Paul Hendall on numerous occassions. Truro City will be hoping there is more to come from the new signing as he regains fitness in the weeks to come.

00:90 - Injury time and Bideford are moments away from pulling off a cup upset.

00:87 Andy Taylor is fouled on the edge of the area, central. Alex Jeannin takes the free-kick and bends it low round the wall. Armstrong-Ford gets across to save to the bottom right of his goal and Les Afull puts the follow up wide. It was a good chance, Truro are unlikely, on the showing so far, to get another one like it before the game is up.

00:85 Dan Smith and Joe Broad get in each other's way in the middle of the park. Truro City players are tackling each other now, not what is needed with five minutes left.

00:80 Hayles picks up the ball in the area. With his back to goal he performs a neat turn, to elude Paul Hendall, before playing the ball into the six yard box, where it was cleared at the near post. A glimpse of the old Barry Hayles we know from Plymouth Argyle and Fulham days, as Truro push forward for an equaliser.

00:77 A ball over the top finds Ellis Laight racing clear. Tom Brooks comes way out of his area, but Laight gets to the ball first. Thankfully his shot on goal is woefully off target. It could, and perhaps should, have been 2-0 Bideford.

00:75 Smith passes to Les Afful on the edge of the area. He races in on goal, but just as he strikes the ball goalwards Paul Hendall gets in a sliding block and the ball goes way for a corner. The Bideford central defender has had a good game so far.

00:72 Barry Hayles hits a ball over the top of the Bideford defence to Andy Watkins. It was good awareness from the former Fulham man, but there is slightly too much power on the pass and the ball runs through to the keeper.

00:67 Attacking substitution for Truro. Andy Watkins is on for Marcus Martin as City go for broke.

00:65 Barry Hayles second half update - is there is little to update. Still not been able to effect the game that much, having said that he has been without a club since last season so he was always likely to be lacking match sharpness.

00:60 An hour gone and it is gone a flat for Truro. Still no sign of a substitution from Hodges, but I wonder how long it will be until he calls on Watkins to try and salvage this tie.

00:54 Andy Taylor crosses into the six yard box, but the ball is just too high for Hayles at the near post.

00:53 Ben Wood is caught off-side as he races down the left. He isn't happy with the decision. The referee looks close to pulling out a card for dissent until Ellis Laight has a word with his striker partner, telling him to keep quiet.

00:50 Ben Wood slides into a challenge with Steve Adams he wins the ball, but the tackles are flying in now and tempers as starting to get a little frayed.

00:47 Steve Adams plays a ball over the top for Hayles, but the striker doesn't have the pace to get away from Paul Hendall and the defender gets back to knock the ball out for a throw in.

00:46 Watts crosses a free kick into the box, but Arran Pugh is penalised for a push on a defender.

00:45 Second half. Stewart Yetton has paid the price for his squabble with Marcus Martin and missed penalty and has been replaced at the start of the second half by Dan Smith.

00:45 Half-time. Barry Hayles has had a quiet game and doesn't seem to be winning the aerial battle with the Bideford centre halves, especially his former Plymouth Argyle colleague Paul Hendall. Having said that for all the talk of City signing being a big centre forward he is only 5ft 10 and the Bideford defenders are 6ft plus. Bideford have looked lively, and on the balance of play probably deserve their 1-0 half time lead.

00:45 Bideford almost go 2-0 up as Ellis Laight fires over from close-range. In fairness though Martin Watts was down with a head injury and they should have played the ball out.

00:43 Stewart Yetton steps up to take th penalty after Marcus Martin and he argue over the right to take it. Yetton then fires it low to the bottom left and the keeper Matt Armstrong-Ford saves. Marcus Martin then lunges into a tackle on the edge of the area and is cautioned, lucky to just receive a booking - Truro's frustrations grow.

00:42 Afful tripped in the box by Nick Milton penalty to Truro.

00:38 Marcus Martin goes down under challenge 25 yards from goal, but the referee deems the tackle to be fair and waves play-on. Questionable decision from the refree, but that is all Truro have had in the last 15 minutes free-kicks around the box, they need to be creating more from open play.

00:37 Martin Watts fires a free-kick from 30 yards a good three feet over the top of the Bideford crossbar - it has been a frustrating evening so far for Truro City and their new signing Barry Hayles.

00:30 GOAL Bideford have the lead. Ben Wood breaks down the left and cross into the box, where Ellis Laight has taken up a position between the two centre halves. He gets a free header at goal from seven yards, Tom Brooks gets a hand to the shot but Laight follows up to score.

00:25 The game has settled down a bit in terms of its pace and a neat passing move involving Andrew Taylor and Les Afful almost put Yetton through on goal in the centre, but the ball gets caught under his feet and the Bideford defence recover to clear.

00:20 Hayles wins another free-kick and this time it's a little closer to goal - 25 yards and central. Martin Watts takes the free-kick and forces Matt Armstrong-Ford to tip his low drive round his right post.

00:17 Hayles wins a free-kick on half-way after his shirt gets tugged by the Bideford centre-back Paul Hendall. It has been a quiet opening quarter of an hour for the fromer Fulham striker and Bideford are still playing at a lively pace.

00:15 Best chance for Truro yet. Les Afful plays a quick one-two with Stewart Yetton before running at the Bideford defence and firing a shot from 20 yards, which has the keeper beaten but ends up a foot the wrong side of the right post.

00:10 Barry Hayles runs down to pick up a ball in the left channel, before crossing into the box trying to find Les Afful. Hayles' pass is intercepted though by Dominic Rivans.

00:08 Good ball from Nick Milton tries to find Ellis Laight in behind the Truro defence, but Pugh just gets back to recover. Truro try a similar move moments later as Barry Hayles runs in behind the Bideford back line but he is off-side though.

00:04 Bideford create another chance from a corner as the ball is cross low into the box. It is met on the volley by the lively Matt Andrew, but fortunately for Truro his shot flies past the right post.

00:02 Hayles first contribution is to give a free-kick away on the half-way line for jumping into a centre back. It is played into the box and Tom Brooks mis-judges the bounce of the ball and it runs through for Steve Orchard to get a shot on target, but it is blocked and goes for a corner. Bideford have started the game well though.

00:00 Kicked off with Bideford attacking the clubhouse end. Truro lining up in a 4-4-2 with Les Afful wide on the left.
