St Blazey produced one of the biggest shock results of the season with an emphatic 5-2 win over Bodmin Town to reach their first ever Throgmorton Cup Final. The last four clash at Lux Park, Liskeard, saw twice winners Bodmin Town take a sixth minute lead through Sam Matthews, but this proved to be the spur for St Blazey who rattled in five goals in 40 minutes past the meanest defence in the league.

Danny Zalick on 14 levelled the scores before Luke Rundle put St Blazey ahead on 33 minutes. Five minutes later by Chris Reski then gave St Blazey a two-goal lead. First half stoppage time saw Zalick make it 4-1. In the 54th minute Reski slotted in his second goal to make it 5-1.

A Chris Luxton penalty on 83 proved little consolation to Bodmin whilst the Blaise Park club's travelling supporters rightly cheered their team off the pitch at the final whistle.

Blazey will meet Plymouth Parkway in the May Day final at Newquay's Mount Wise ground after the Devon club won their semi-final against Ivybridge.
