The chairman of Falmouth rugby club said he was delighted after the club announced that they had secured the services of coach David Rule for another season.

Rule joined the club at the start of the 2009-2010 season and has improved the fortunes of the Devon and Cornwall team lifting them to a creditable sixth place finish last season, leading them to 15 victories from 26 games.

Kim Conchie chairman of Falmouth RFC, said: “I am delighted to have the services of such an experienced and influential coach as David. The club can now build for next season with the knowledge that the players will receive top class training from a dedicated professional.”

“David’s coaching credentials are second to none and his methods are tried and tested having coached at Camborne and Plymouth Albion.”

Neville Curnow, director of rugby, said: “Dave has had an immense effect on playing standards over the last two seasons and the players and supporters will be over the moon at the news he is staying at the club.”

David will be assisted by Player coach Phil (ferret) Wells who will also be starting his third season with the club. Pre-season training starts July 3, so players can come and join us knowing they will receive the best coaching that’s available in Cornwall.
