Truro City chairman Kevin Heaney has confirmed this week that he is involved with an Irish consortium looking to buy Plymouth Argyle.
Heaney is working in a property-advisor role with an Irish consortium, which has been named as the preferred bidder for the struggling League Two club.
The prospective buyers, who identities have not been revealed, will look to sell the football side of the business to acting Argyle chairman Peter Ridsdale.
If they are successful with the take-over they will concentrate on developing the stadium and adjoining land, but will leave the football side of the business to Ridsdale. Heaney, who has guided Truro City to five promotions in six seasons is not allowed to be involved in the actual running of a second club.
