Liz Lusty, Feock-based runner and Truro paramedic, has successfully completed her 294-mile run along the Cornish Coast path.
Liz a familiar face on the Cornish running scene ran the coastline in nine successive days and a total of 80 hours. The Cornish coast path consists of a mixture of terrain with flat easier running on the majority of the south coast whereas the north coast, with its cliffs and boulders means lots of walking and scrambling up and down the cliffs making running much harder.
The final section of Liz’s run was competing in the Endurancelife 44-mile ultra-marathon from The Lizard to Land’s End.
There are no records that could be found of solo runs around the Cornish coast path so if anyone has managed to complete this challenge Liz would be pleased to hear from them at cornishcoastalchallenge@gmail.com.
The purpose of the run was to raise funds for Children’s Hopsice South West and the building of their Little Harbour Hospice at Porthpean anyone who would like to sponsor Liz can still do so online: virginmoneygiving.com/elizabethlusty.
Liz thanked everyone that sponsored and supported through her run.
