This Sunday will see the unveiling of the Tony Kellow memorial stone in his home village of Budock Water, near Falmouth.

The prolific goalscorer who still holds the record for scoring most goals for Exeter City died suddenly aged 58 at his home in the village in February. His greatest achievement was winning the Football League’s ‘golden boot’ for being the top scorer in the four divisions in 1980/81 with 25 goals in 46 league appearances.

Tony’s roots were in the village where he sang in the church choir as a boy and during his professional career he found time to coach the Budock Rangers youth teams.

Exeter City will be well represented and they are bringing a portrait of Tony Kellow to be placed in the local Trelowarren Arms.

The memorial stone is adjacent to the pub and the unveiling will take place at 3 pm followed by a celebration of his life in the Trelowarren Arms by family and fans alike.
