Last year Helston knocked Beacon out of the Vinter Cup but there was to be no repeat this time around as the County Division One side comfortably won by 44 runs on their home soil.
Helston did well to restrict their higher division opponents to 111 with skipper Dan Jenkin taking two wickets. Rob Trembath top scored with 24. Jenkin then made 24 with the bat and Chris Martin hit 17. Their dismissals sparked a dramatic collapse however with Jak Hodgkins producing remarkable figures of six for nine including a hat trick.
