Division one leaders Redruth storm to victory against Perranarworthal

Redruth 228 Perranarworthal 111 Perranarworthal were well beaten by the County Division One league leaders thanks to a good Redruth batting performance at Tredrea.
Openers Luke Johnson (22) and David Guffick (27) got things off to a good start before Neil Hornbuckle made 41 and Harry Bolland 44.
Skipper Nigel Hambly was out in the closing overs having made 35. After Tom Williams took three for 50 Tom Child wrapped up the innings with five for 31.
Williams made 21 as Perran got to 40 before losing their second wicket. That signalled a collapse as seven wickets fell for just 21 runs. Phil Bostock made 15 and Child 25 not out to see the hundred up.
Neil Ivamy took four for 35.There were three ducks in the innings. Perran are at third placed Hayle on Saturday.
Redruth 228 (H Bolland 44, N Hornbuckle 41, N Hambly 35, D Guffick 27; T Child 5-31, T Williams 3-50), Perranarworthal 111 (T Child 25no, T Williams 21; M Ivamy 4-35, N Hornbuckle 2-15). Redruth (20 points) beat Perranarworthal (seven) by 117 runs.
