St Gluvias take over at top of county division two (From Falmouth Packet)

With the Stithians against Rosudgeon game put back to July 8 St Gluvias took full advantage to take over at the top of Division Two.
They won at Boscawen Park by 54 runs, Six St Gluvias batsmen got into double figures with Jake Preston making 17, Josh Kelly 21 and Jon Nesbitt 16 as the first four wickets fell for 72.
Skipper Matt Julian marshalled the rest of the innings to remain undefeated on 64 with four sixes and three fours.
All five St Gluvias bowlers were amongst the wickets with Jake Preston taking three for 10 off 8.5 overs. Andrew Julian, Andrew Bowden and Neil Pearce took two each with one for Kyle Winnan. There’s a cracker of a game at Kernick on Saturday when the top two meet with St Gluvias and Stithians putting their respective unbeaten records on the line.
St Gluvias 170-8 (M Julian 64no, J Kelly 21, J Preston 17, J Nesbitt 16; J Dobson 2-32, C Phillips 2-36, R Pascoe 3-29), Truro 116 (R Thomas 39; A Julian 2-15, A Bowden 2-26, N Pearce 2-21, J Preston 3-10). St Gluvias (19 points) beat Truro (six) by 54 runs.
