There have been a few changes in the playing personnel at Penryn FC following the news that Steve Jewell and Dale Band have re-taken the role as joint-managers of the club.

The Carlsberg South West Peninsula League released the latest round of verified transfers between clubs and it revealed that Patrick Shaughnessy has joined Penryn from Truro City Reserves.

Shaughnessy left Penryn two seasons ago for an unsuccessful spell at Falmouth Town. He then went onto AFC St Austell and Truro.

During his time at Penryn, Jewell and Band were managers. Shaughnessy was a popular figure at the club and finished as Penryn's top scorer for the 2009/10 season. He also shared the division one west league’s golden boot award that year. However, it is not all good news for Penryn, with a number of players departing.

Perranporth, who struggled with a small playing budget and squad last season, appear to be strengthening this campaign.

They have re-signed Liam Streat and Kayne Trevaskis, two players who left the club last summer to join Penryn.

Added to that Justin Miles, a central defender who had an excellent end to the season with Penryn first team has also joined Perranporth.

Talented goalkeeper Jason Peters has made the step up to premier division football, leaving Penryn to join St Austell.
