Cornish Pirates start season away at Jersey

The Cornish Pirates have announced their fixtures for the forthcoming 2012/13 season.
Following friendlies against Loughborough, Exeter Chiefs and Newport, the Pirates start the campaign with an intriguing trip to Jersey.
Jersey were promoted from National One last season after finishing seven points clear at the top of the table.
The Pirates then face two local derbies, the first at home to Plymouth Albion, on Sunday, September 9, and away to Bristol on, Saturday, May 15.
London Welsh, who beat the Pirates in last season's RFU Championship play-off final are due to visit the week after. However, the club is still in the process of appealing the RFU's ruling not to allow them to be promoted to the Aviva Premiership. As a result that match has yet to be confirmed.
Other notable dates in the fixture calendar including home ties against Bristol, on Sunday, January 6; and Leeds Carnegie, on Sunday, October 28. CORNISH PIRATES
