Redruth hold onto county division one lead by thrashing St Austell II

Cornwall County division one leaders Redruth stormed to a comfortable victory over St Austell II on Saturday.

In a match reduced to 35 over, Redruth still reached a total of 159 for eight. It proved too much for second from bottom St Austell who were bowled out for 35.

There was an eight-wicket win for Ludgvan against Perrnarworthal.

Perran set a total of 140, which Ludgvan reached convincingly thanks to E Lockyer's 62 not out and 52 runs from T Edwards and 23 from R Edwards.

Other County One results saw Beacon beat Roche by 81 runs, Gorran beat Luckett by 136 runs, Wadebridge win against Penzance by 54 runs and Hayle beat Newquay by five wickets.
