Illogan RBL Reserves moved to the top of the Trelawny League premier division on Saturday as they beat St Keverne 8-2 away.
It was Illogan’s third win from three games and came courtesy of goals from Luke Abbott-Smith (3), Simon Carter (2), Jay Smith (2) and Ryan Treloar.
Mawnan began their season with a 2-0 win over Carharrack. It was Andy Anear’s first competitive game in charge of the club having taken over the first team following the departure of successful player-manager Greg Renfree in the summer.
Ryan James and Paul Fernihough were on target for the Greens.
There was a hat-trick for James Bright as Threemilestone won their opening game of the season 7-0 against Penzance Reserves.
Matt McIlroy (2), James Davies and Ryan Stephens were also on target.
Newly-promoted Redruth United got their season off to a great start as they beat St Agnes Reserves 4-2 at home. Spencer Hassell missed a penalty for the Saints, whose two goals came from Brandon Light.
The only other game in the premier division saw Perranwell Reserves lose 4-3 at home to Gulval.
In division one Helston Athletic Reserves made it two wins from two as they thrashed Perranporth Reserves 9-0.
However, West Cornwall find themselves at the top of the table with seven points following a 5-0 away win at Praze-an-Beeble. Ian Chatfield (2), Owen Barrett and Ben Penberthy were on target for West Cornwall.
The other division one games saw Lizard Argyle draw 1-1 with Chacewater; Newlyn Non Athletico beat Rosudgeon 3-1 and Trevenson United lose 5-1 away at Sennen.
In division two there was just two games played as Falmouth Athletic DC Reserves beat Hayle 2-1 away and Titans won 4-0 at home to Storm.
In division three Redruth United Reserves got off to a winning start as Tony Barber, Martin Adams and Guy Johnson scored in a 3-2 win over St Agnes IIIs.
The only other division three game saw Pendeen Rovers Reserves beat Goonhavern Athletic Reserves 6-1.
