Truro City's week took another bad turn on Saturday as they suffered a humbling 8-0 loss away at Maidenhead United.
Truro, who went into administration on Tuesday, began the day at the foot of the Conference South table on minus two points.
Truro City clipped the crossbar early on, but Reece Tison-Lascaris made it 1-0 as he shot into the bottom corner from Daniel Brown's pass.
Tison-Lascaris then added two further goals at the start of the second half before strikes from Alex Wall and Paul Sem put Maindehead firmly in control.
Bobby Behzadi added a sixth from the penalty spot, before Wall scored again to make it 7-0.
The embarrassing scoreline was completed late on as Lee Barny fired home.
Speaking after the defeat, Truro City boss Lee Hodges, said:
"It was the proverbial game of two halves. The boys had done fantastically well at the start of the season and they could really have done with a break, or at least to have some fresh faces available to come on, but of course we haven't got any.
"They have given it their all, but after the first half at Maidenhead (1-0 at half-time) they just weren't at the races. I think everything caught up with them and their minds were elsewhere, which was disappointing.
"I said to the lads afterwards that if it does turn out to be the last game for some of them it will have been a very disappointing way to sign off.
"I think we will still have some of the first team players available for Saturday, and as I say it is really important now to get as many people as possible in to see that match."
