Hundreds of people turned up to St Mawes on Wednesday evening to get a glimpse of Team GB's Olympic ladies rowing team as they took on the best of Cornish Gig rowers.
The event, which was raising money for ShelterBox, was organised by Wadebridge's Annie Vernon and saw the Olympic rowers compete in three races.
The first saw the Team GB rowers race in coxed fours against the gig rowers. This race saw the two Team GB boats finish well ahead of the field, with Falmouth, in Black Rock, finishing a comfortable third.
The second race, which saw the Olympic rowers race in gigs, was not so successful for the stars of London 2012 as their two boats finished the race in the last two places.
However, the Cornish gig rowers did give their Olympic rivals a standing ovation as they reached the beach.
The third race saw the Team GB athletes split up and join mixed gig crews and race against each other.
