Matt Williams returns to starting line-up for Bristol ahead of Cornish Pirates game

Matt Williams returns to the starting line-up as Bristol go in search of a first win at the Memorial Stadium against Cornish Pirates on Sunday (3.15pm KO).

The England Sevens flyer recovers from a hamstring injury to take the place of Ryan Edwards, who misses out due to illness.

Williams’ inclusion is one of four changes from the side that beat Doncaster Knights last Friday.

James Grindal and Matthew Jones form a new-look half-back partnership, while Rhys Lawrence replaces the injured Ross Johnston at hooker.
James Merriman will remain as skipper with Iain Grieve included among the replacements.

Liam Middleton opts for a four forwards and three backs split with Tom Channon and Ben Mosses in the 22-man squad.
