Lewis Paterson from the Cornish All Blacks has been voted the Cornwall Player of the Year by members of Trelawny’s Army Supporters Club.

Paterson was presented with the Bill Osborne Memorial Shield by BBC Radio Cornwall Sports Reporter Peter Richmond at the club’s Annual General Meeting held last night at the St Austell Brewery Visitor Centre.

The Tony Mead Memorial Shield for the Cornwall U 20 Player of the Year went to Kyle Moyle who last season played for the Cornish All Blacks but is now playing his rugby at St. Ives.

A spokesman for the Trelawny Army Supporters Club: "Sadly Moyle was unable attend on the evening so his presentation will be made on a future date hopefully at a St Ives home game.

"Both polls were very close reflecting the fine play of both the Cornwall Senior and Under 20s sides last season.

"We were also delighted to welcome London Cornish RFC Director of Rugby Dickon Moon as well as officials from Cornwall RFU and St Austell Brewery."
