A DEAL has been agreed to send Charlie Davey on loan to Launceston-based Cornish All Blacks.

The lock forward who came to the Mennaye in the summer from the London Irish Wild Geese as part of the Player Development Foundation scheme will be using the move to work his way back to fitness after suffering an injury.

The 22-year-old has trained at Polson Bridge during the week and is in the squad for their game against Chinnor tomorrow in the National League Two South.

Pirates director of rugby Ian Davies said: "Injury has prevented Charlie from featuring for us to date, but having worked his way back to fitness the opportunity to acquire game time is now important.

"It helps the Cornish All Blacks at present and is also of benefit both for the player and the Pirates."
