FALMOUTH’S teenagers could not match-up with their counterparts from the Cornish Pirates Under 15s on Sunday.
This first round Cup game was reduced to 12-a-side due to Falmouth being short of numbers.
The Pirates went 5-0 up early on through full-back Shea Cornish, only for Falmouth to draw level soon after.
A number of indiscretions led to penalties for the opposition and with Tyler Vicars yellow-carded the Pirates did well to take a 10-5 lead at half-time after Conner George scored their second try.
The second half saw the Pirates begin to retain possession, utilise the full width of the pitch and tries ensued for George, Cornish, Luke Flack and Daniel-Rhys Evans.
The Falmouth team was tiring as Flack ran in two more tries, one converted by himself, and two fine touchline conversions from Max Walden towards the end of the game took the Pirates to 46 points.
