David Cameron is to give his support to the Stadium for Cornwall project today during a visit to the county.
The Prime Minister will be in Penzance on the campaign trail ahead of next month's General Election and will tell Cornish voters the Conservatives will look at ways of getting the £10million stadium constructed "as soon as possible", making it part of the party's "plan for working people in Cornwall".
The proposed 6,000 capacity venue, pictured below, in Threemilestone has been delayed several times and in March was given a blow when county councillors greenlighted two other plans near to the site, but deferred the stadium bid.
If built, it would become the new home of the Cornish Pirates and also be used by Truro and Penwith College.
He will also unveil plans to set up enterprise zones to encourage businesses to come into the region with the incentive of tax breaks and upgrades to the A391 near St Austell.
