GOLF: Cash raised by Golfers and Helston Lizard Rotary Club
A charity golf day proved to be a bit hit for the Rotary Club of Helston Lizard.
The event, which takes place annually, was held at Killiow Golf Club.
Organised by Rotarian Hjalmar Wara, 16 teams took part in a Texas Scramble in perfect weather conditions. Thanks to sponsorship, teams entering the event and a raffle, a total of £3,200 was raised that will be split between the Children's Hospice South West, BF Adventure and other Rotary charities.
Cornwall Farm Machinery sponsored a ride on mower for anyone who achieved a hole in one.
Hjalmar has thanked all the teams who took part, the sponsors who supported the event and Killiow Golf Club for hosting it.
