GODOLPHIN Club recorded a fine victory over Redruth Rail A in the Mining League to go top of Division One.
The team from Helston beat their opponents 4-1 but still had to put in gritty efforts to win some of the frames.
Nigel Veal hit a break of 50 in his match with Ryan Curnow, but still had to dig deep to make it over the line.
Breage find themselves at the opposite end of the league table after going down 4-1 to Penponds.
The visitors had a series of good breaks to see them home with the best coming from Simon Hosking with a 43 clearance.
Porthleven’s Dean Williams made a break of 47 to beat Park Bottom in their Division Two match, but it would not prove enough to prevent the away side from winning 3-2.
