TEENAGE netball players at Penryn College made history last week as the Under 14s made it to the next stage of a regional competition.
They have followed in the recent footsteps of the school’s Under 16 team who also progressed to the same stage, with the next set of matches being played in January at Bournemouth.
It is the first time the college has had both teams reach the same stage of the regional competition after performing well against other sides in Cornwall.
The U16s won their county contest, while the U14s, pictured above, finished second.
Coach and teacher Angela Walker said: “Having both teams qualify for the regionals has never been done before, so it’s a great achievement.”
