PLAYERS went out onto the course at Praa Sands over the last weekend before Christmas to face off in Stableford action.
On the Sunday the men went out and with a fine 44 points, Tony Boyce claimed the win ahead of Simon Phillips who scored 41.
Coming in third place was Rob Gall with 39 and fourth on countback went to Ray Crebo who along with Joe Hill had a total of 37.
In the females’ game on Saturday, which was played in the better ball format, the trio of Phyllis Williams, Anne Griffiths and Ann Seabrook came out on top.
They finished in front of Jackie Quick, Judy Thomas and Barbara Wilkins while Wendy Keys, Caroline Hardman and Margaret Richardson were third.
Members will be heading out on the course for a Stableford match on Boxing Day before the men play for the Rover Trophy on Sunday.
Then on New Year’s Day there will be a Putters-off-the-Tee starting at 12noon, followed by the Triathlon.
