GOLFERS at Mullion got their clubs out for the first time in 2015 on New Year’s Day to compete for the George Thomas Cup.
With gale force winds battering the course, it proved to be a difficult day for the players.
However, it was the father and son team of John and Mark Hall, pictured above, who tackled the conditions best to top the leaderboard with 36 points in the pairs better ball format, which used white tees and three-quarters handicaps.
It was a closely fought tussle as the runners-up spot went to Chris Bryning and Robert Curnow on countback after they scored 35, just as did Glynn Summersall and Jon Key did.
