SNOOKER: Champions start Cornwall Pairs title defence off successfully
A WINNING start was made by defending champions Chris Timmins and Nigel Veal in the Cornwall County Pairs Snookers Championship.
The Godolphin Club duo are looking to retain the crown they won last year and started off well with a 3-0 victory against Heamoor’s Kevin and Ryan Gilbert.
During the match, Timmins made two good sized breaks of 55 and 58.
In the semi finals the pair will meet Ryan Curnow and Mike Jenkin of Redruth Railway with the best of five frames match to be played before February 2.
