WHITE Hart B ended Wendron CC A's unbeaten run in Division One of the West Cornwall Winter Pool League last week with a 5-4 victory thanks to singles wins from Matt Sharpe, Craig Pound, Alan Pearceand Tim Pound.

It was a difficult week for all the top teams as defending champions, Helston FC A, had to fight hard fora 5-4 victory over the Atlantic Inn A team and third placed Lizard FC A suffered a 5-4 loss to the Godolphin Club F team.

Mullion FC A came back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Boathouse 6-3 and the Rodney Inn A team hadan excellent 7-2 win against Helston RBL A.

Wendron CC B are the new Division Two leaders after an 8-1 win over White Hart C last week, but Godolphin Club B are in pursuit after a 7-2 win against the Bell and a 6-3 win against Helston Cricket Club in a re-arranged game.

Helston RFC C were 3-0 down against last week's leaders Helston RBL B, but wins from Stuart Lugg, Mickey Fuller and Phil Johns plus two doubles games helped them come back and win the match 5-4.

The Lion & Lamb A team defeated the Angel Hotel team 6-3 while Paris A came back from 3-1 down to beat White Hart A 5-4.

Wins from Nathan Deacon, David Cheetham, Connor Hastings, Luke Hunter, Karl Hanson and Chris Ensink helped Potters Bar B to an 8-1 victory over Black Swan A last week in Division Three to shoot themto the top of the table.

Helston RFC D suffered a 5-4 defeat to the Five Pilchards but are still in a good position in their promotion chase and the Lion & Lamb B team kept their good run going with a 7-2 victory over Lizard FC C.

Helston FC B edged a 5-4 win over Godolphin Club A and the Harbour Inn gained a 6-3 win over Breage SC.

Division Four leaders Paris B started the new year with a 5-4 win against Red Lion A but had to come back from a 3-1 deficit and wins from Olly Frost, Joe Richardson, Martyn Athay, Martin Johns and Nathan Jose helped Atlantic Inn B to a 7-2 victory over Out of the Blue B.

The Three Tuns had a 6-3 win against the Cowshed Bar as did the Black Swan B team against the Potters Bar A team.
