A SURPRISE defeat was suffered by Godolphin Club which has dented their Mining League Snooker Championship hopes.
The team currently in second place of Division One travelled to Lanner, who are hovering one spot above bottom, and were beaten 3-2.
This loss helped league leaders STR Clinton stretch their gap at the top to ten points after they won 4-1 at home to Playing Place A.
In Division Two, Porthleven record a 3-2 victory against Penponds while in the league below, Stithians recorded the same score at Four Lanes.
