A CELEBRATION has been held by Falmouth Golf Club to mark the 40 years of hard work by greenkeeper Keith Kellow.

Alongside his wife Marilyn, Kellow was the guest of honour at a party held in his honour at the venue, organised by DC Hughes Falmouth Ltd.

During the evening, he was joined by 80 friends, colleagues and old work mates .

Much laughter and reminiscing was had while guest dined out on a delicious buffet, with a speech by Bill Berks about Kellow’s early greenkeeping days becoming a double act as the man of the moment chipped in.

As part of the celebrations, club captain Barry Lawrence led a presentation giving Kellow an engraved tankard from all the members.

Steve Burrows then gave flowers and a £500 travel voucher for the couple whilst paying tribute to Kellow, calling him a “great greenkeeper”.

After the evening was done, Kellow said: “It’s been a great evening, seeing all these smiling faces and I’ve kissed every woman in the room.”
