A PLACE in the Cornwall Hockey Association Cup final has been secured Falmouth Ladies after an 8-0 demolition over Launceston.

Out of their total, Amy Tatlow scored five times to help her side set up their sixth final appearance in a row with Newquay awaiting them.

Pressure was applied early on at Penryn College by the hosts with Tatlow opening the scoring early on after intercepting the ball 25 yards from Launceston’s goal.

Kathryn Barbery-Redd doubled the advantage with a strike from the first penalty corner of the match before Rachael Tatlow also found the net from a tight angle.

Her sister then added two more before the half time whistle.

Viv Cobner was having a great game in defence with her long balls locating their targets every time while the trip of Amy Figgins, Hanna Royle and Mia Tumoana were creating some lovely free flowing hockey between them to keep the pressure up.

It took a brilliant solo effort from Barbery-Redd to open Launceston, although she would soon miss a penalty flick.

Goalkeeper Hannah Bowman made some excellent saves for Falmouth before Tatlow bagged her fourth and fifth scores of the match late on to finish proceedings off.
