FALMOUTH Hockey Club’s Ladies team have celebrated a successful end to their season after winning the County Cup and holding an awards evening.
The County Cup was won in very exciting final at Penzance against their rivals Newquay. At full time the scores were tied at 2-2, Falmouth eventually prevailing to win 2-1 on penalty flicks.
Falmouth Hockey Club also held their annual Ernie Cooke Memorial Tournament at Penryn College on Saturday. Mixed teams from CSM, Duchy and Truro as well as Falmouth took part in this friendly tournament. Truro and CSM reached the final, with Truro winning 1-0.
Falmouth Hockey Club celebrated their successful season at their awards evening at The Penmere Manor Hotel.
Award winners on the night were Hannah Whear, Amy Figgins, Alice Bowman, Amy Shaw, Viv Cobner, Hannah Bowman, Rachael Tatlow, Megan Cookson, Amy Tatlow, June Moore, Molly Phillips and Emma Bragg.
