On Sunday the Men played medal competitions for the Benney Shield and Ruberry Cup.

The shield is for players with handicaps between 0 and 16 and the cup for those with handicaps from 17 to 28. The overall scores reflected the glorious weather and the condition of the course. Roger Mildren won the Benney Shield with an excellent net 65.

Dennis McQuillan was second, on count back from Geoff Mills, with 66. Andrew Varney won the Ruberry Cup with an outstanding 64. Mike O’Hara was second with 69 and Alan Mills third with 73. The presentation of the trophies will take place after the Presidents Putter next Sunday.

On Tuesday the Seniors played a Home match against a very strong Truro team. All the matches were close but the final score was an honourable draw – three all. The Budock winners were David Gibbons/Brian Hoskins, Geoff Mills/Martin Salome and Tony Grace/Roger Mildren.

On Wednesday the Ladies played a medal competition for the 2014 Champion of Champions and a Stableford competition. Barbara Craig was declared Champion of Champions with a net score of 75; Jenny Wake was second with 76 and Nina Hann third with 78. The Stableford was won by Tricia Blatter with 31 points, Denise Power second with 30 and Angela Lawrence third with 29.
