STEVE Lampier recorded a top ten finish at the British National Road Race held in Lincoln on Sunday.
The rider who grew up in Helston clocked a time of 4:35:38 as he competed for Team Raleigh GAC in a race featuring top name stars including 2011 Tour de France green jersey winner Mark Cavendish and Team Sky's Peter Kennaugh, who finished first.
The total distance covered in the event was 123.5 miles and after finishing, 30-year-old Lampier expressed his happiness with the result on social media, along with passing congratulations to team-mate Sam Lowe as well.
He tweeted: "9th at Lincoln Nat RR. Happy solid race. @SamLowe_94 2nd in U23 champs. Nice one scamp."
