TESTING conditions greeted players at Mullion Golf Club as the Bickford Smith Silver Rose Bowl was contested.
With rain falling and the threat of thunder mixed in with strong south-westerly winds made it a real challenge for the entrants with the scoring being very close.
Coming out on top in the end though was Paul McHugh as he was one of four players alongside Ashley Spinks, Alex McHugh and John Sanders to score 69.
He was given the victory on countback with Spinks given second and McHugh third.
The ladies at Mullion played a 27 hole Stableford with the prize being the Lady Secretary's Trophy.
Sharon Moyle topped the scoreboard with 48 points, two ahead of Jill Simmons and Sally Markham finished third with 43.
