Helston FC and Lizard FC are battling it out at the top of the table
PROCEEDINGS remain close at the top of the West Cornwall Summer Pool League Division One after the leading teams both recorded convincing wins.
Helston FC stay on top after beating the Lion & Lamb 8-1, but defending champions Lizard FC are not far behind them following a 7-2 thrashing of the Bell Inn.
Godolphin Club B also won 7-2 against Helston RFC A and Helston RBL A beat Constantine SC 5-4.
In Division Two, the Boathouse moved to the top after defeating Helston RBL D and Helston FC E got their first win of the season, beating the Seven Stars 7-2.
Helston RFC C maintained their unbeaten record with a 7-2 success over Godolphin Club E.
